Personal responsibility, pass it on. The next time you hear someone complain about anything, ask him or her “tell me about the last time you tried to fix…insert issue”. They’ll look at you, maybe get a little mad and usually be quiet. 95% of the people I meet on a daily basis have still not figured out it are them who are in control of their lives.
Don’t like something, change it. Don’t like someone, avoid him or her. People have the power to be the person they want to be and the only one stopping them is…them! Obviously the grammar police just called, but I am not worried. This is a good bad grammar quote.
One of the biggest problems most people face is their weight. But there is only one person that is putting food in their bodies. There is only one person that can get their ass off the couch and go for a run. When I hear people discussing their weight and lack of control of what goes in their mouth, I am usually perplexed as to who they think is feeding their machine. If you weigh more than you would like, it is a simple problem of your taking in more calories than you are burning.
Jobs are another source of people’s contention. If you don’t like your job, quit. Go get another, but let me tell you a secret, all jobs have their positives and negatives. If you can focus your thoughts inwardly, any job can be fun and rewarding. If you are not happy with your job, ask your self why and start fixing it today. Make small changes so that in 2 weeks, you are much happier than you are today. If you don’t like your employment, chances are you are choosing to focus on the bad over the good. There is good in everything, you just have to find it.
Financial stress? The only one that can make more money for YOU is YOU. I’ve personally never worried about money. It’s nice to have, but if you live within your means, you’ll always have plenty and there is only so much crap one can buy. Today make a pact with yourself that you will live like a hobo for a week. Just 7 days, don’t buy anything. Obviously, you might need a little gas, but only get $10.00 worth as opposed to filling your tank. Don’t eat out; take your lunch each day to school or work. If you are worried about money, you are spending more than you are taking in.
Decide to be happy, decide to be the positive change that you have been looking for. No one else cares as much about you as YOU. Quit smoking, drinking so much, eating so much and quit bitching. All of those things are not very becoming and there are actually a few of us in this world that are extremely happy with our weight, jobs, and financial society. The only difference betweens we’s and you’s is how we approached our lives the last few years. Take some personal responsibility and quit being you. We’d really appreciate a happier, less complaining, and positive impacting YOU.
