The Thompson Group has evolved from a small personal lines agency that was started by Wayne Thompson in 1973. With Wayne’s direction and guidance, Thompson Insurance was able to build a brand that stood for quality customer service in the insurance industry.
In 1996, son Anson Thompson bought the agency from his father and continued to uphold the stellar reputation of Thompson Insurance, guiding the agency to become what is is today: a leader in the field of commercial, personal, and life/health lines of insurance.
As an independent insurance agency, The Thompson Group is able to work with many of the insurance industry’s leading carriers, including Westfield Insurance Company, Motorists Mutual Insurance, West Bend Mutual, Society Insurance, Travelers Insurance, and Acuity. Working with a variety of insurance carriers gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with the most competitive rates.
In 2012, The Thompson Group announced a new agency in Indianapolis, IN (formerly known as RMD/Patti Insurance of Indianapolis.) This new agency brought on board more agents, customer service staff, and over 80 years combined experience in the insurance industry. Excitingly refreshed, the agency brought upon the phrase “Someday is Today,” a phrase coined by newly appointed CEO, Jenny Dils Durr.
